Setting-page for the module to encrypt and sign emails in Outlook (not Outlook Express).

  According to program version individual properties can be missing or varying!

1. Activate/Deactivate Outlook PlugIn This option activate a toolbar on your Outlook-Client to encrypt and / or sign e-mails. This function can use a simple password, X-509-certificate or external devices (token).

E-mail dialog

This function can also be sending an encrypted and / or signed e-mail with any e-mail application that support a MAPI-interface. This interface is avaible on the most popular e-mail programs.

Settings Here you get into the advanced settings. This includes to customize the Outlook-toolbar and switch on or off the functions.

Settings

1. Activate / Deactivate PlugIn Activates or deactivates the Outlook AddIn.
2. Refresh Update the settings.
3. Show in Outlook menu The following options can be activated or disabled in Outlook, so the toolbar icons and menu items are displayed or hidden:
  • Password or key-based encryption: Encryption using a password entered via keyboard or via CD or USB-token. (Advance settings on the page SYMM-System) 
  • X.509-certificate-based encryption: Encryption via your encryption certificate (HYBRID-System). This can be defined in the abylon CERTMANAGER.
  • X.509-certificate-based asymmetric signature: Signature with your signature certificate (HYBRID-System). this can be defined in the abylon CERTMANAGER.
  • X.509-certificate-based asymmetric SME (Secure Message Envelope): Signature with your signature certificate and encryption with the selected recipient certificates (HYBRID-System). This option is advantageous for the secure sending of email without the need to replace it on its own password.
4. Other settings Further settings:
  • Show menu in Outlook: Displays the menu in Outlook to encrypt, sign, verify and decrypt an e-mail.
5. CRYPTMAIL-Text Individual customizing of the e-mail text. The changes are stored with Save.

Default recover the original text again. 

Individual customizing the email text after encryption or signature. The changes are accepted by Sava.
Default is manufactured with the original text again.

The wildcards "%s" must be exist!
6. Default Encryption ALG Selected encryption system and the used encryption algorithm.

At this time possible settings for the abylon CRYPTMAIL (Outlook):

  • HYBRID-System: Certificate based asymmetrical encryption according to the PKCS-procedure of RSA.

In the abylon Keymanagement you can define the encryption algorithm in case of the HYBRID-System.
