Setting pages

Activate / Deactivate the Single Sign-On functionality This option activate the Single Sign-On (SSO) - background process, to fill automatically your credentials to your applications. You need to enter once after logon your password, smart cards or X.509 certificate.
Open KeySafe Here you can store convenient and secure your credentials such as passwords or TAN lists. In addition, the application can automatically detect password inputs and fill for You (Single Sign-On) - function.
Advanced Settings Here you get into the advanced settings. This includes among others, with createing, managing, and deleting individual KEYSAFE - files and change the password or change the encryption system.

Management

 

1. Add new Create a new KEYSAFE.
2. Import Imports an existing KEYSAFE (XML file) from your hard drive or server.
3. Remove Remove the KEYSAFE from the list (button Links) or delete it complete from the harddrive (button All).
4. Edit Opens a dialog box to change the parameters of the selected KEYSAFE.
5. Change password / Change Default Encryption ALG Change the "Secret" of the selected KEYSAFE
Password, chip card, USB-Stick or certificates can be used as a secret (Keymanagement). The new Keymanagement are defined in the settings before!

Possible Changes:

  • Change password: Defining new password or chip card.
  • SYMM >> HYBRID: Change from the password based to the certificate based Keymanagement.
  • HYBRID >> SYMM: Change from the the certificate based to password based Keymanagement.

7. Default Set the selected KEYSAFE as default, which opens automatically when you open the program icon.
8. Default Encryption ALG Selected encryption system and the used encryption algorithm.

At this time possible settings for the abylon KEYSAFE:

  • SYMM-AES: Password based symmetrical encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length)
  • SYMM-Blowfish: Password based symmetrical encryption with the Blowfish-algorithm (448 bit key length)
  • HYBRID-AES: Certificate based asymmetrical key administration according to the PKCS-procedure of RSA and internal data encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length)
  • HYBRID-Blowfish: Certificate based asymmetrical key administration according to the PKCS-procedure of RSA and internal data encryption with the Blowfish-algorithm(448 bit key length)
  • SYMM-AES: Password based symmetrical encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length)
  • SYMM-AES 4Eye-System: Password based symmetrical encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length). At 4Eye-system must 2 passwords entered.
  • SYMM-Blowfish: Password based symmetrical encryption with the Blowfish-algorithm (448 bit key length)
  • SYMM-Blowfish 4Eye-System: Password based symmetrical encryption with the Blowfish-algorithm (448 bit key length). At 4Eye-system must 2 passwords entered.
  • SYMM-AES & Blowfish: Password based symmetrical encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length) and then with the Blowfish-Algorithmus (448 bit key length).
  • SYMM-AES & Blowfish 4Eye-System: Password based symmetrical encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length) and then with the Blowfish-Algorithmus (448 bit key length). At 4Eye-system must 2 passwords entered.
  • HYBRID-AES: Certificate based asymmetrical key administration according to the PKCS-procedure of RSA and internal data encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length)
  • HYBRID-Blowfish: Certificate based asymmetrical key administration according to the PKCS-procedure of RSA and internal data encryption with the Blowfish-algorithm(448 bit key length)
  • HYBRID-AES & Blowfish: Certificate based asymmetrical key administration according to the PKCS-procedure of RSA and internal data encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length) and then with the Blowfish-Algorithmus (448 bit key length).

  In the abylon Keymanagement you can define the using of passwords, bank- or health insurance in case of the SYMM-System

9. Automatisch Schließen Time in minutes after which the not used KEYSAFE closed automatically.

Tutorial

1. Procedure to change the "secret" (Keymanagement):
  1. Open the Settings-page and go on page KeySafe)
  2. Select the new settings, like encryption system (Default Encryption ALG) and in the case of the SYMM-System optional the Keymanagement (Password or Chipcard based)
  3. Select the KEYSAFE in the list
  4. Press the button Change password, SYMM >> HYBRID or HYBRID >> SYMM
    (The button will show according the settings: see table)
  5. Input the previous "Secret" (password, PIN, chipcard or USB-Stick)
  6. Input the new "Secret" (password, PIN, chipcard or USB-Stick)

  In the case of the certificate based HYBRID-System the entitled certificate are defined in the abylon CERTMANAGER!
