Setting-page for KeyManagement of the symmetric encryption (SYMM-System). Here can be define the file encryption with password or chip card.

  According to program version individual properties can be missing or varying!

Fenster

1. Password based / Card based Change the standard between password based and card based Keymanagement
2. Refresh Update the settings.
3. Passwordbased Keymanagement In case of the SYMM-System occur the security (encryption or secure access) by input a password over the password dialog.

  Recommend for user, who would like to enter the password over the keyboard always!
4. Smartcard- or Memorybased Keymanagement In case of the SYMM-System occur the security (encryption or secure access) through the use of a chip card, USB-Token, an external storage medium or a CD/DVD. A password is not necessary!

At this time supported mediums:

  • USB storage mediums
      Until now no restriction know with standard USB storage mediums, for example USB-Sticks, CompactFlash, MemoryStick or MultimediaCard
  • EC-/HBCI-MoneyCard with chip (Europe)
      For EC-HBCI-MoneyCards the PC/SC interface is necessary.
  • Memory cards (for example HEALTH INSURANCE CARD (Europe))
      For Memory cards the CT32-API is necessary.

  • CD/DVD
      Empty CD's and DVD's cannot be used!
  • RFID-Radiocard

5. Smartcard- or Memorybased Keymanagement with password In case of the SYMM-System occur the security (encryption or secure access) through the use of a chip card, USB-Token, an external storage medium or a CD/DVD. For an extended security an additionally password must be entered!

At this time supported mediums:

  • USB storage mediums
      Until now no restriction know with standard USB storage mediums, for example USB-Sticks, CompactFlash, MemoryStick or MultimediaCard

6. Get SecureID Calculate the SecureID for all supported Smartcards (EC MoneyCard / Health Insurance Card) and USB storage mediums.
If you loose your card/USB storage medium or it is damaged you can insert this SecureID for the encryption or the access (for example CRYPTDRIVE or KEYSAFE)

  For safety reasons deposit every SecureID at a secure place.
7. Settings In case of the chipcard and storage media based Keymanagement the media can be activated or deactivated.

At this time supported mediums:

  • CD/DVD
  • EC-/HBCI-MoneyCard with chip (Europe)
  • Memory cards (for example HEALTH INSURANCE CARD (Europe))
  • USB-Token and / or CompactFlash card
  • RFID-Radiocard
8. Get SecureID In case more than one Cardreader is installed the selection can be limited.
  • ANY CARDREADER
    The software accepts any Cardreader, CD/DVD-Drive and USB-storage media
  • Special Device
    The software only reacts on the selected device.

  For the selection the device must be stuck in or a CD/DVD must be in the drive.
