Settings > Explorer PlugIn

• Securely delete file (s) and directory (s) (WIPE)
• Encrypt File (s) and directory (s) quickly and easily with password, USB stick, smart cards or X.509 - Certificate
• Find file (s), that can often not be found with the normal Windows search
• Check for duplicate file (s), even if they have different file names

• Settings: Choose properties of the context menu

Possible options:

1. Show in Explorer menu
   Activate / Deactivate the module abylon SYMM CRYPT in the context menu of the File Explorer.
2. Show CRYPT-ASSISTANT
   Activate / Deactivate the functionality abylon CRYPT ASSISTANT in the context menu of the File Explorer.
3. Delete original files
   Automatic deletion of original files after encryption.

Possible options:

1. Show in Explorer menu
   Activate / Deactivate the module abylon HYBRID CRYPT in the context menu of the File Explorer.
2. Show CRYPT-ASSISTANT
   Activate / Deactivate the functionality abylon CRYPT ASSISTANT in the context menu of the File Explorer.
3. Delete original files
   Automatic deletion of original files after encryption or signing. The Wipe - level (overwrite-cycles) is adjustable on the setting side COMMON.

     In case of Digital Envelope Files (SME) the original files will be deleted only, if you are the owner of the private key. Without corresponding private key (PKCS#12) the file can not be decrypted.

Possible options:

1. Show in Explorer menu
   Activate / Deactivate the module abylon SHREDDER in the context menu of the File Explorer.

Possible options:

1. Show in Explorer menu
   Activate / Deactivate the module Open CRYPTZIP after zipping files
   Option for the behavior while creating ZIP-files.
• Activate
  The dialog abylon CRYPTZIP is opened after compressing files.
• Deactivate
  A ZIP-file is created without opening the dialog abylon CRYPTZIP.
2. Open compress Zip-files with CryptZip
   Set a link in the Registry, so that ZIP files opened with abylon CRYPTZIP.

Possible options:

1. Show in Explorer menu
   Activate / Deactivate the module abylon PASTE in the context menu of the File Explorer.
2. Don't copy unchanged files
   This option controls the behavior of the functionality abylon PASTE, if the file already exist in the target folder.
• Activate:
  Until the paste or move operation the modification file time is checked. Only if the source and folder time is different, the copy or move operation will done.
• Deactivate:
  Every file will copy or move independent of the file time.

  The activation of this option can speed up the copy operation, because only changed files will be moved. This is helpful for big backup operations. In this case it's not necessary to copy all files or to check the file time individually.

3. Keep newer source or target file
   This option controls the behavior of the functionality abylon PASTE, if the file already exist in the target folder.
• Activate:
  Until the paste or move operation the modification file time is checked. If the file in the target folder is newer, the file will not be copied. If the file n the source folder is newer, the target file will be overwrite with the source file.
• Deactivate:
  The source file will copy or move in each case, independent of the file time.
4. Paste without further inquiry for existing or read-only files
   This option controls the behavior of the functionality abylon PASTE, if the file already exists in the target folder.
• Activate:
  In the target folder the existing file will be overwritten without any further inquiring. Also in the case of read-only.
• Deactivate:
  If a file must be overwritten, an inquiry-dialog is shown.
5. Paste with Backup if target-file already exists
   This option controls the behavior of the functionality abylon PASTE, if the file already exists in the target folder.
• Activate:
  Before the software overwrite a file, a backup-copy (BAK-Extension) will be created.
• Deactivate:
  The file in the target folder will just be overwritten.

Possible options:

1. Show in Explorer menu
   Activate / Deactivate the module abylon FIND in the context menu of the File Explorer.

1. Show in Explorer menu
   Activate / Deactivate the module abylon DUPE FIND in the context menu of the File Explorer.

Possible options:

1. Deactivate Floppy drive A and B
   Deactivates the floppy disk drives A and B, so that these are not any longer indicated in the File Explorer.
2. Deactivate CD- und DVD-drives
   Deactivates the CD- und DVD-drives, so that these are not any longer indicated in the File Explorer.
3. Deactivate USB-drives
   Deactivates all USB-drives (e.g. USB-Sticks), so that these are not any longer indicated in the File Explorer.

• SYMM-AES
  Password based symmetrical encryption with the AES-algorithm (256 bit key length).
• SYMM-Blowfish
  Password based symmetrical encryption with the Blowfish-algorithm (448 bit key length).

  In the KEYMANAGEMENT you can define the using of passwords and / or secret(s)!
