Apps and Tools: Slim application software for concrete tasks
Every well-run household has a toolbox in its basement or garage. This contains numerous tools for specific purposes. It is the same with the App's from abylonsoft. Each software product is designed for an individual application. The tasks are usually clearly arranged on one page and support the PC user for example in process control, data backup or user security. Further examples are image cleaning, automatic encryption and a fast WLAN scanner and connector.
Many applications start automatically with Windows login, often invisible. The software abylon APP-BLOCKER lists all autostart entries, processes, services and drivers clearly in a table. In addition to a short info, additional information can be retrieved via the homepage. These can be deactivated or removed individually. Uncritical monitoring functions can be disabled with the AntiSpy One-Click-Button.
Pictures, videos and documents are the capital of many companies and are a highly valued commodity in private life. These data can easily be lost, whether by accidental deletion or a system crash. The software abylon BACKUP-TUBE offers remedy and saves the data in a mirror directory. The backup or the synchronization can be carried out manually or automatically, whereby only new and changed files are saved.
The data safe automatically encrypts all files in the CRYPT directory, without having to enter the password each time. To access the saved files, it is sufficient to enter the password once when opening the user interface. In contrast to container-based encryption solutions, only the opened files are temporarily decrypted. This increases security and enables multi-user access.
The software abylon EXIF-CLEANER shows clearly in a list all opened JPG-/JPEG images with the complete file information in EXIF format. To this meta information belong for example comments, camera model and serial number, copyrights, graphic program, thumbnails or GPS coordinates. The software removes these individual fingerprints with a single click. The cleaned images do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the creator and recording location.
Fast and optimized copying, now with the software abylon FILECOPY. Directly in Windows File Explorer, Copy, Synchronize and Search files are offered via the right mouse button menu. Before copying, the source and destination are compared and only if the file content has changed, the copy operation is performed. If the file name has changed, the file will only be renamed. Especially with large amounts of data these advantages speed up the creation of a shadow copy or backups.
The software abylon UAC-GRABBER extends the security concept for user account control (UAC) introduced since Vista. The program enables the administrative start of trustworthy programs without displaying the confirmation dialog every time. The UAC security dialog only appears if programs are started without the user's knowledge. An alternative start menu is also displayed under Windows 8 and 10.
The software abylon WLAN-LIVE-SCANNER searches for WiFi networks at regular intervals. The found wireless networks are displayed in a clear tree structure in real time. If desired, the computer can be connected to the Internet automatically or with a click via an open Wireless LAN hotspot. If an individual configuration of the computer is necessary, the software will do this automatically.

The software unfortunately does not offer the ability to map WiFi around our house on a floor plan JPG like phone apps do. Likewise, it cannot connect to a phone app to collect scans from it.
The app can't even display all the information for all WLANs at once in a table so it can be searched, sorted or selected by name, lifetime, signal strength, channel, security type, etc.
The program does not store any history, so if a WiFi goes down, there is no record of it. This means you can't leave the app on overnight or all week to see who is doing what in the neighborhood.
Fix it all, Abylonsoft, and come back with a new version so we can test it and give you feedback - please.

However, we would like to comment on the following 2 things:
1) It is always a question what the software is designed for. The software does not offer a complex evaluation of the local Wifi situation, as you wrote. The app is primarily intended to enable a fast connection to an open wifi network on the go.
2) In contrast to Android, the Windows Wifi interface does not offer extensive possibilities to get a corresponding complex evaluation.
