Problems with the installation of the "Mobile USB version" in the setup and in the software settings have been fixed.

In some of our applications (e.g. Logon, WLAN scanner, Keysafe, etc.) acoustic signals are emitted for certain actions. These have been optimized by using better sounds (sound files).

Fixed various problems in the shredder, e.g. data getting stuck when reading in data.

Numerous small bug fixes and optimizations.

Various changes to the GUI (graphical user interface).

When registering the software under a user with restricted user rights, admin rights can be requested via the new Run as admin button.

From this version onwards, the software supports sound files. A corresponding sound is emitted for certain actions (e.g. chip card events).

The reading of large file lists has been optimised. This makes copying, deleting and encryption processes significantly more efficient. This has been achieved through the following changes. The individual files are no longer output and sorted during import. Sorting only takes place after the files have been read in completely.

The shredder function "DupeFiles" has been extended to search for duplicate file names!

Problems with the simultaneous execution of our software in several user contexts have been resolved.

A memory overflow occurred in a service function of our encryption solutions due to a problem in the Bluetooth interface, which we were able to rectify.

For users with restricted rights (normal users without admin rights), the defined card-removing-event is now evaluated again and the software reacts accordingly.

Various optimizations in handle management (allocate and share), as well as the window update in the progress bar in the File Explorer context.

Some virus scanners see problem copying the CG.Animations.DLL file to the Windows directory. This will be taken care of by the setup program in the future.

The process flow when copying files has been optimized. This means that file names and paths with a length of more than 255 bytes can also be copied.

The display problem with the tray icon and in the taskbar has been solved. When the window is open, the software is displayed in the taskbar and when minimized as a tray icon.

Access problems of the .NET DLL for animated graphics were corrected.

Mapped or shared drives sometimes led to problems during the copy process. The cause was incorrect formatting of the path.

The Shareddrive PlugIn for the Windows File Explorer has been reactivated. Now the encrypted files of the Shareddrives can be accessed directly in File Explorer.

Instabilities of the Shareddrive software for multi-user access have been fixed.

For animated images a .NET component is needed. This is now initialized correctly, so that possible call problems are excluded.

By clicking on a column, all tables can be sorted chronologically.

By optimizing the function call, the performance of all apps could be increased significantly.

Problems in service connection and registry access were fixed.

If the execution from the file explorer via the context menu of the right mouse button does not work or the LOGON does not start properly, a change in the registry can remedy the situation. To do this, change the following value under "HKLM\Software\abylon\\Flags" from YES to NO.

The autostart of the program can be activated and deactivated via the menu (3 dashes).

When deleting directories, sometimes so-called ghosts remained. Deleted directories are now correctly removed in the directory display.

The waiting dialog when starting the software is automatically closed after 5 seconds in case of a problem.

When minimizing the Keysafe dialog, the program is reduced to the tray icon. Starting with Windows 10, a short hint is displayed.

The size of icons in lists and trees has been reduced to 28x28 pixels.

To avoid protection violations, the general startup dialog of our programs has been revised. This can be disabled in the registry under HKCU\Software\abylon\ by changing the value FWUSEWAITDLG from YES to NO.

By default, files to be deleted are no longer generally shredded. The shredder level has been set from 1 to 0 for this purpose and can be manually adjusted in the settings under "General".

The programs constantly check the remaining memory of the target drive and abort the operation when the memory limit is reached.

Network access via mapped drives has been optimized to allow error-free access to files even with admin privileges.

A sometimes occurring crash when opening the settings dialog with admin rights could be fixed.

When starting the program as a minimized tray icon, a short hint text is displayed.

The start dialog of the programs was further optimized and can be deactivated via the registry in case of problems (HKCU -> REG_SZ -> "FWUSEWAITDLG" = "NO")

SSD hard disks are better supported in Shredder and the problem and possibility of full hard disk encryption is pointed out. In addition, the warning message for SSD hard disks can be deactivated.

The shredding level between shredding and other file operations is now differentiated. The shredder level for other file operations can be set in the settings dialog on the "General" page.

The file explorer plugin (right mouse button) caused instability under certain circumstances. By checking the environment more intensively, crashes should no longer occur.

Administration rights are no longer required to check whether a new update is available.

The cause for partially occurring crashes during copying could be fixed.

The formatting process after creating a new Cryptdrive is now called "initialization".

The unsupported tab "Application shortcut" is no longer displayed.

Performance issues in the wait/start dialogs have been fixed and an animated wait squiggle has been implemented.

The automatic window adjustment under Windows 7 has been optimized.

A useless question dialog is no longer displayed when deleting files.

In the password generator, the number of characters is no longer set to one.

Opening the document directory should now be more secure.

After registering our software, this is now displayed directly in the about dialog.

When changing the encryption secret (e.g. from smart card to password), problems were eliminated.

With abylon COPY in case of error at the end the list of the not copied files is output. When repeating, the new copy process is now performed.

In the login or lock mask of the abylon LOGON software caught a loop if no hardware key was available. Now it should be possible to switch back to the normal Windows login mask via the cancel button.

The Desfire smart card is fully supported as a hardware key.

abylonsoft software requires in certain cases a so-called system context to execute actions. In this regard, the query has been extended so that this function also works without errors in languages besides German and English.

Problems with logging in with online accounts have been fixed.

The encryption with smartcard (logon and data) has changed. For this reason, data encrypted by older versions should be better decrypted before the update.

From this version on, explicit support for ACOS, Mifare and Desfire smart cards is offered. A 32-byte AES random key can optionally be written to ACOS and Desfire cards.

The support of the CT-API for old memory chip cards (OLD health cards) has been completely discontinued. However, current EC cards and eGK (health cards) with CHIP can be addressed via the PC/SC interface and used in our software!

As of version 22, card access has been optimized by adapting it for special card types (e.g. ACOS, DESFIRE, MIFARE ). This has significantly increased the speed of card access. In addition, the card access is less error-prone.

There was a small error in the positioning of the settings dialog, which has now been corrected.

Initial tests of our software products were successfully conducted on the new Windows 11 operating system from Microsoft.

It is now possible to select the hash value when generating self-signed certificates. In addition to SHA1, SHA256 and SHA512 are also offered.

Partially occurring "hang-ups" seem to be due to the waiting dialog. If not necessary, this has been removed.

For unformatted drives, the creation of a "Cryptdrive" is now done without confirmation.

The program name is displayed at the bottom left of the logon screen for information purposes.

The tree with the keysafe entries can be collapsed again by clicking on the folder.

In the future, the file Desktop.ini will no longer be started automatically if an entry is stored in the program's own auto-start function.

Memory chip card support via the CT32 DLL has been removed.

When creating encrypted objects, the encryption algorithm can now be selected directly in the dialog for creating the encrypted element (Credential Provider).

All main dialogs got the Windows header again because there were problems with the individual header when moving, resizing, etc.

If the Manager- and UAC-GRABBER-Window is closed via the "Close" menu item, then the GUI is not automatically opened after the computer restart. The situation is different if the window is closed via the "X" in the upper right corner. In this case the GUI opens automatically after the reboot. In addition, the autostart is only done via the folder in the start menu and no longer via "Run" in the registry.

When calling the Crypt Assistant via the desktop icon, the source directory is now displayed correctly. If several files with different directories are encrypted at the same time, only the directory of the first file is displayed.

The problems with the module "abylon COPY" on mapped network drives have now been fixed.

In the Keysafe you can now copy the username and password to the clipboard with one click (button)! For security reasons, the clipboard is emptied after 10 seconds. This simplifies the operation of browsers, which do not support Drag&Drop.

All our modules can be switched into admin mode by the shield icon. Since this version the software can also be switched back to user mode. This is necessary for example, because Drag&Drop of files only works in the same context.

A waiting dialog is now displayed directly in the Explorer-PlugIn (menu of the right mouse button) after starting the abylonsoft function.

Dismounting of open Cryptdrives is now more reliable.

With the new Minus-Icon you can now remove shortcuts from all directories in the UAC-Grabber and Manager. Removal via the Del key is still possible.

The positioning and font output was corrected and standardized in all waiting dialogs.

The SSO functionality (Single Sign-On) is deactivated in the programs abylon KEYSAFE and abylon LOGON SSO Pro from version 19.x. An independent solution for the SSO functionality will be offered shortly. Please use the previous version 18.x or earlier.

The faulty check of an IMK file caused the user to be asked to convert the Keysafe by mistake. This problem has been fixed since version 18.1.

The "hang" of the settings dialog when opening and closing (mounting) Cryptdrives would be fixed.

In the shredder on the page Temporary files -> Other jobs you can define your own files and directories which will be deleted e.g. also during background cleaning. The INI file responsible for this can now be opened from within the program via an editor and individually adapted. Attention This file should only be adapted with the appropriate technical knowledge.

The progress bar when importing files is now displayed larger and therefore easier to read.

To prevent problems with the registry dialog, it is now always placed in the front panel (TopMost). Now the registration dialog shouldn't slip into the background anymore when clicking on another window.

Under special conditions, the password entry window may not always have the focus to enter the password directly. This was solved programmatically with a so-called mouse click event. Should this cause problems, this can be deactivated via a registry flag. For this, see the support page under password!

NOTE: Please note that the password scrambler converts certain special characters into other characters. If the program of abylonsoft does not recognize the password input correctly, this should be repeated with activated or deactivated password scrambler.

The files APM_LSMSNT32.DLL, APM_LSMSNT32x64.DLL, APMPNTSec.DLL and APMPNTSecX64.DLL are gone! This has no negative influence on the functionality, but accelerates the workflow

When copying e.g. with abylon COPY with network interruptions, the software now recognizes them and repeats them in case of problems.

Performance problems after software reinstallation could be localized and fixed.

The speed of chipcard access has been accelerated significantly. It is irrelevant whether the chip card is used for Windows logon or encryption. Further optimizations can be made on request

The superimposed admin icons have been removed from the settings dialog. If in the future a function is selected for which no sufficient rights exist, this is indicated in a message window.

The setup routines of the program are only started after the setup wizard is finished.

The accidental display in the settings for the CT32 DLL and the Administration Server has been resolved.

In the treeview view the icon view has been improved

In the settings under the tab Administrative settings there is now the option Allow settings dialog only for administrators. If this function is activated, the settings dialog can only be opened if the user is in the group of administrators

Drag&Drop operations over windows with different rights are now displayed with the no entry symbol. For example, no files from the File Explorer (user context) can be dragged into our dialogs if this was started with admin rights. This is also shown at the top of the dialog

The license agreement was revised in German and English and adapted to the new data protection regulation DSGVO. The file is displayed in the setup and is attached to the program as a PDF file.

Errors when copying entries in abylon KEYSAFE have been fixed

The abylon SHAREDDRIVE can also be used on various cloud services, such as OneDrive, GoogleDrive and Dropbox. All you need to do is install the appropriate client software from the cloud provider and offer the data in a directory on your hard drive (e.g. C:\Users\\Google Drive). If this is the case, the cloud directory can be selected in the abylon SHAREDDIRVE or better still a subfolder as Speiocherort. By encrypting the Shareddrive, all data is encrypted in the cloud and also the transfer from and to the clound is protected against spying.

Closing the program window via the cross icon now works with the first click

With activated AUTOSTART mode the abylon SHAREDDRIVE is started minimized.

Due to stability problems of the Windows File Explorer the Sharedrive File Explorer PlugIn is completely disabled. The access to the encrypted data now only takes place via the provided program interface of the abylon SHAREDDRIVE. The activation and deactivation of the abylon SHAREDDRIVE now only refers to the AUTOSTART of the program's own GUI after the login.

The application directory has changed from [drive]:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\apm\AUTOSTART to [drive]:\Users\\Documents\abylonsoft\AUTOSTART changed. Under certain circumstances files in AUTOSTART and FAVORITEN must be copied and accepted manually.

The account path can now be defined individually in the settings on the "Administration" page. This also makes it possible to store login accounts and SSO data in a cloud. However, it is not possible to select a network path

All listed software products are now available in 2 versions. In principle, both versions can be installed on all supported Windows versions. However, we recommend the version compiled with Visual Studio 2008 up to Windows 7 and for mobile use. This setup requires the .net-Framework 3.5. We recommend the version compiled with Visual Studio 2015 for Windows 8 and 10, which requires the .net-Framework 4.0 and the Redistribution Pack. As long as the downloads are not differentiated yet, the version for Windows 8 and 10 is primarily offered. To get the version up to Windows 7, the file name must be completed with the character string "vc2008_". This results in a file name of "vc2008_[setup.exe]"

The abort button for "Shredders" did not react under certain conditions. The problem was fixed
