TOKENSECOBJ

TOKENSECOBJ is a hidden and read-only folder with the files ATR.BIN and SECCON.BIN and is created by abylonsoft software on storage media (e.g. USB sticks). Among other things these data are needed as key for the encryption and login with the software of abylonsoft. A simple cloning of the storage medium by copying this data is not possible and only optional adjustable.

Transport Layer Security (TSL)

The term Transport Layer Security (TLS) can be roughly translated as transport layer security. Since 2006, the TLS standard has replaced the predecessor standard SSL, which has no longer been considered secure since the Poodle attack. By using an asymmetric encryption method, the user is also able to use insecure networks protected and thus not disclose the transmitted data. A hybrid process is used for this purpose. In very simplified terms, the server is first authenticated with a certificate. The client then sends back the encrypted key for the encryption. These keys are used for symmetrical encryption of the data to be transmitted.

When surfing the Internet, an encrypted connection is displayed on the S in HTTPS. Other known methods are the implementations of OpenSSL or GnuTLS.

TripelDES

TrippleDES or also 3-DES is a symmetric encryption method in which the DES method is used three times in a row. Even though the 3-DES algorithm is still in use in some areas today, the former standard should be replaced by the secure AES algorithm.

Trustcenter

Trustcenter (Certification Authority (CA)) offers certificates (key pair of Public Key and Private Key) for legally binding and confidential data exchange. In Germany, they are audited and certified by the regulatory authority for postal services and telecommunications (e.g. TC Trustcenter or D-Trust). These trust centers must meet particularly high security requirements. They guarantee that the certificates issued and verified by you (key pair for signing and encrypting) are authentic according to the German Signature Act. This certificate can only be used by the person who has proven his/her identity to the trust center. As a free alternative we offer the Software abylon SELFCERT for generating self-signed certificates.
